casa alva is located in minas, near the marimbondo reservoir, on a plot with approximately 75 meters of frontage. in order to fully take advantage of the lot’s dimensions and the view of the water, an elongated volume was adopted, allowing the most important spaces to face this privileged landscape.

breaking the monotony of a single large volume, different forms were created for each sector of the project: the social area is defined by a large exposed concrete roof, while the suites are arranged as independent bungalows, providing greater privacy between residents and guests.

seeking unity across the whole, a large glulam wooden roof spans the entire length of the project. beyond sheltering the central circulation and protecting the glazing from direct sunlight, it gives the residence a strong and distinctive identity.
